As our friend Peter Deaves reminds us, the Seine never made it to Belleville, not even in 1910. Not even to Oberkampf. We are safe here in this underground bunker. We don’t need to move our masterpieces somewhere else as they are doing in the Louvre cellars. Regulars and newcomers meet down here every Monday.
