And a sguest poet we have Cecilia Woloch – ”In 2014, Scribe-l’Harmattan published the French translation of Tsigan: The Gypsy Poem, as Tzigane, le poème Gitan. The text of Tsigan has been the basis for multi-media performances in the U.S. and Europe, and is currently being translated into Polish. Duckie L’Orange is a performance artist who works with puppets, storytelling, burlesque and humour.
Based in Sydney Australia, she has performed in the Sydney Opera House, Australian Museum, the Rocks Village Bizarre, Sydney Tower, Bondi Beach Theatre, nightclubs, festivals, forests and car parks.

Fork Burke is a poet currently living and writing in Switzerland – She received her BA in Creative Writing from The New School, New York, NY. Her poems have appeared in Hoezo Lepels?, PRAXILLA, Lyre Lyre, Unshod Quills, Caucasus ArtMag and Three Rooms Press publication Maintenant, as well as Le désir Live Radio Show for Art Basel 2012 – Basel Kunstmuseum Radio 2012 – 2012 Lyrics for BLOOD by Nick Porsche. Contributing poet at The First Brussels International Underground Poetry Festival – Her book Licking Glass is a book of poems, poetic essays and other images. Licking Glass is also included in the permanent collection of Poets House Library, NY, NY. Recordings include Fork Remixed – Which was among the winners of the Australian International Song Competition. Her latest Spoken Word recording durch die Blumen will be released April 2015

THEME for 11th May; Art and Artists

Rethabile is a Mosotho poet who enjoys reading and writing. He lives in Paris, France, with his wife and two children. Rethabile is self-employed and works in language-teaching. He says he has been writing for a good while, learning through trial and error and picking up lots of sounds by reading and re-reading the poems that he likes. His work has been published in various magazines (including THE BASTILLE no.2 and no.3 – ed.) and online.

Rethabile was born in 1961 in Lesotho and left his country with his parents and siblings to go into exile in 1980. He moved through The Republic of South Africa (very short stay, on account of the weight of Apartheid), Kenya and The United States of America, before settling in France in 1987.

He blogs at Poéfrika and co-edits with Phil Rice the literary magazine Canopic Jar.
