James Jewell is a jack of all trades: poet, rambling man, singer songwriter, and sometimes slave to the big system to make a buck. He and his wife Kara have been kind of nomadic wonderers from their home in the hills of Pennsylvania to Nashville, Los Angeles, Toronto and now Paris France. James has a strong sense of his Pennsylvania roots while being influenced by the weird and wonderful adventures he and his wife have experienced. James has now been part of the Paris scene for almost eight years and strongly influenced and inspired by living there.
James Jewell’s solo album “SONGS FROM THE FRIDGE” is a mix of songs that spans more then 20 years. Some fresh out of the bins of the Paris street markets and overs from the deep freeze of times past. Influences include, Woody Guthery, Cash, Elezibeth Cotton, Violent Femmes, Françoise Hardy, Georges Brassens and The Who.
Ellie O’Neill is a 21 year old Irish songwriter living in Paris. Combining vocals and music that are at once delicate and powerful, her music is honest and open. Ellie takes inspiration from deeply personal experience that translates as both individual and human. The weaving together of lyrical depth and musical beauty is as natural as it is striking, and her love of the Irish language brings a unique rhythm and style to her work.
Camille Adnot is a fiction writer and poet, who writes both in English and in French. She grew up in France, where she read English at the ENS of Paris and Paris-Diderot uni, which developed her love for the music of the English language. That love was furthered by living in the UK for a couple of years, first in Nottingham and then in Oxford, where she taught French. She’s also around London from time to time. Currently she’s doing a PhD on the mapping of chaos in William Blake’s illuminated books at Paris-Diderot, and teaching English lit. That hasn’t led her to engrave her poetry yet, but she’s worked in collaboration with visual artist Anne Huynh on turning a number of poems into paintings, and they’re also thinking of making a short movie out of one. In the meantime, Camille keeps on writing, performing at open mics like Spoken Word Paris or Angora Poets, taking part in the AWOL workshop, and she’s recently become part of the Poetry Brothel, where you can listen to her poetic alter ego, Sasori Sting, recite poems in a decadent fashion. Her poems in English, and poems of other writers that she has translated into French, have been published in The Opiate, Those That This, and Quail Bell Magazine.
Vie Boheme (pronounced Vee Bow-em), is an American Bohemian Soul vocalist, bridging the gap between music and dance. Born in Motown, developed in Pittsburgh and refined in Minneapolis, USA, Vie Boheme is one of the most prominent artists to emerge from the Minneapolis music scene which is home to the Prince legacy of powerful musicianship and dynamic and eclectic stage performances. 
SpokenWord falls on November 5th this year… variously known as Bonfire Night, Guy Fawkes Night or further back it was Gunpowder Treason Day. It celebrated the foiling of the Gunpowder Plot in 1605 in which Guy Fawkes and his conspirators almost succeeding in blowing up the Houses of Parliament and killing King James I.
Beatrice Mori is an Italian bilingual professional actress, singer and musical theatre performer represented by Play Actors International Agency, who moved to London almost 3 years ago. She completed her training in Musical Theatre at the Royal Central School Of Speech And Drama, University Of London. Since then she started working both as an actress on camera for different projects that include among others: a role in “Double Entendre” which also premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, Things We Do Before Midnight” from Paniscus Motion Production, “Jessica & Scott” Short Love Story, a cameo on Sky 1 for What’s Up TV, a comic and bubbly role in “Yo Magazine” Sitcom; and also on stage as a musical performer. The main projects have been: the prestigious “West End Live 2017″ event in Trafalgar Square, Anything Goes” The Musical at the Greenwood Theatre, an Off West End production of a new original musical called “The Dream” at the Iris Theatre (Covent Garden), “Love Bites” Play at Art’s Night Event in a new original play called “Our Dads Fucked Us Up” in which she plays an eccentric and cynical gypsy. She recently finished the run of the musical “West Side Story” as one of the Shark singers and dancers and has now been cast in a new original show that will debut soon at the Etcetera Theatre (Camden Town) as well as being chosen to play a lead role in a new sci-fi series. When she’s not rehearsing or auditioning, Beatrice performs original and rearranged songs with her guitarist Alex Carli (Lotus Duo) in various venues/events around London. Beatrice also showcased her first on going work-in progress One Woman Show “Embracing Shadows” at Art’s Night Event which received positive feedbacks. Even if it’s still a work in progress, she has already been offered the chance to work on it as a short movie by an award winning producer and filmmaker.
Youssef Alaoui-Fdili is an Arab-Latino, born in California. His mother is Colombiana. His father was Moroccan. The Alaoui-Fdilis are originally from Fez. His brothers and aunts and uncles and cousins are today mostly in Casablanca and Rabat. His family and heritage are an endless source of inspiration for his varied, dark, spiritual and carnal writings. He has an MFA in Poetics from New College of California. There, he studied Classical Arabic, Spanish Baroque and Contemporary Moroccan poetry. He is also well versed in the most dour and macabre literature of the 19th Century. His poems have appeared in Exquisite Corpse, 580 Split, Cherry Bleeds, Carcinogenic Poetry, Red Fez, Big Bridge, Dusie Press, and nominated for a Pushcart at Full of Crow. Youssef is an original creator of the East Bay literary arts festival “Beast Crawl.” In 2012 he created Paper Press Books & Associates Publishing Company. This press offers several important books of poetry and one poetry and art compendium. Youssef also serves as an Associate Editor for Big Bridge Press.
